Technology-Driven Drug Delivery for Complex Sterile Injectables
Novel solutions for pressing drug delivery challenges
In addition to our expertise working with conventional aqueous solutions, lyophilized sterile formulations, organic solvents, high-potency compounds, and small or large molecules, our proprietary particle-based drug delivery technologies and long-acting injectable (LAI) platforms greatly expand the options available to support your therapeutic’s objectives.
Nanotechnology Technology Platforms
Nanoparticle drug delivery systems are engineered technologies that use nanoparticles for the targeted delivery and controlled release of therapeutic agents.
Liposomes
Liposomes are phospholipid-based nanoparticles that encapsulate pharmaceutical agents. Our proprietary LNPdoz™ liposome nanoparticle delivery system enables the formulation of drugs that improve their therapeutic index and enhance solubility.
Nanosuspensions
A nanosuspension is a stabilized liquid dispersion made of pure drug particles with sizes in the nanometer range. The physical and biological properties of drug materials are altered when they are transformed into nano dimensions, resulting in improved pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics for poorly soluble drugs.
Micelles
Micelles are nanoscopic core/shell particles formed by amphiphilic molecules, like phospholipids or polymers. In an aqueous solution, these molecular aggregates are particularly well suited for drug delivery purposes. Micelles can carry drug substances and deliver them to body tissues and cells.
Long-Acting Injectable Technology Platforms
Long-acting injectable (LAI) technology is a delivery system that, when injected, allows for the slow release of drugs into the bloodstream over an extended period.
Microspheres
Microspheres are a polymer-based technology that encapsulates pharmaceutical agents in polymeric matrices. Our proprietary MERdoz™ technology controls drug delivery rates and enhances drug stability.
Micro-Suspensions
Microsuspension-based drug delivery systems are designed for formulating poorly soluble drugs. The particles of poorly soluble drugs are micronized and dispensed in a suspension to delay the release and extend the efficacy of the therapeutic agents.
Injectable in situ
Forming Depots
Our proprietary SIDERdoz™ subcutaneous, in situ, extended-release delivery system solidifies into a gel or depot at the injection site, releasing the drug slowly over time.
